Yan has experience investing in multifamily projects in the tri-state region (NJ) and the southeast (GA) region of the U.S. Her most recent investment was on a +200-unit value add project in the greater Atlanta MSA. 
Yan has extensive experience in risk and portfolio management, stress testing, model validation, statistical analysis, as well as multiple research methodologies. 
The combination of these specialized skills and her tenure as a Risk Manager at a quant-based NYC Hedge Fund empowers her to bring a straightforward quantitative perspective to every real estate opportunity we evaluate. She also  provides insight  on how global markets and multiple asset classes impact the U.S. real estate market.  
Yan received a Master of Science in Financial Engineering, Baruch College; Master’s in Economics, Fudan University; and a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Fudan University. She is an eight-time scholarship winner, including the Chinese Academy of Space Technology Scholarship, Fudan University.
Yan is an active member of several real estate professional networking and learning organizations, including MultifamilyU. She is also a panelist on several webinars sponsored by the fast growing coast2coast brand, including the “Economy & Real Estate Round-Up”,  a webinar that discusses the most recent economic and global news and its impact on real estate.  
She also helps lead Northlight Growth’s “Co-Invest RE Club”, where members collaboratively evaluate select investment opportunities.
Yan is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
